From The Black Church To The Night Club

A huge thank you to Aaron Jenkins and Delonte Gholston for hosting an incredible discussion on Sister Rosetta's art and her place in both the church and secular music.

Aaron Jenkins is the Vice President Policy & Advocacy at The Expectations Project which builds partnerships with faith communities to mobilize and support faith-based individuals, congregations and organizations to help improve low-income public schools through awareness, local action and advocacy.

Delonte Gholston is a Senior Pastor at Peace Fellowship Church. A native Washingtonian, he was raised in the National Baptist Church as a teacher, preacher and musician. His passion for advocacy and development has always been deeply rooted in his faith. It has led him to serve as part of church renewal and planting movements in DC and LA, and ultimately led him to seminary in Pasadena where he recently graduated from the MDiv program at Fuller Theological Seminary.
