MON. JAN 30, at 7:30PM | Opening Night featuring Aflocentric (ASL Interpreted)

Aflocentric is a hip-hop and soul artist collective whose sound ministers to those seeking an authentic musical experience. Members include vocalist and guitarist, Jonathan Lykes, inspirational rapper, CROWN, and producer, OnRaé LaTeal.

Using an interdisciplinary approach to art, music, and anti-oppression work, Aflocentric merges political education, artistic expression and activism. Combining these forms of social transformation—and harnessing their synergy—Aflocentric works to curate artistic spaces that create awareness, promote personal healing, surmount institutional barriers and generate Black joy and love. Their latest project to be released in 2017 is a creation and re-creation of movement music, highlighting freedom songs and chants from the Movement for Black Lives.
