Nate Shelton

Today on #DreamProject, we are featuring Nate Shelton. Shelton is an actor, playwright, and former Arena Stage fellow! It's only been 5 years since he's graduated high school; read more about how his #perspective has changed below: "I had so many dreams as a kid. #Olympic gymnast, acrobat for a traveling circus, cardiovascular neurosurgeon; all at the same time. As crazy as those were—I worked so hard towards them that even my greatest haters, biggest bullies and most adamant detractors couldn’t deny my #passion. My own fear and insecurities, with some #effort would fall, if I kept feeding my passion. Eventually my dream became more realistic; Howard University, actor, playwright/novelist. What didn’t change are the haters, bullies and detractors, what also hasn’t changed is my passion. Passion, true passion, is always #stronger that insecurities and fear." Don't miss out on the story of kids who are striving to reach their dreams against all odds; pick up your tickets for #MilkLikeSugar at http://bit.ly/MilkLikeSugarTickets! #Mosaic #WhenIWas16 #MyDreamAt16#DreamProject #MilkLikeSugar #MLS #MosaicMLS#LetGirlsLearn #FineArts #HBCUPride #HBCUAlum#Bison
