Mosaic Signs: Quid Pro Quo Auditions

This video by Mosaic Fellow Kala Granger explains in ASL about auditions this Monday, October 17th, 2016.

The play Quid Pro Quo was written by Garrett Zuercher, a Deaf playwright. The director for this workshop, Joey Caverly, is also Deaf and an alumnus of Gallaudet University. This is an exciting opportunity for the Deaf community to represent their art on stage in DC-- a first step for Mosaic, but not the last!

We are seeking four actors, both Deaf and hearing. All actors must be fluent in American Sign Language. Two voice actors sign/speak the spoken/signed dialogue.

Lindsay: female, hearing, college aged (20's) Lucas: male, Deaf, college aged (20's) Voice of Lindsay: female, hearing, 20's-30s Voice of Lucas: male, hearing, 20's-30's Play summary: Two college students hook up one night. One day Lindsay shows up at Lucas' apartment to announce she is pregnant. Lindsay is hearing, and Lucas is Deaf. Both can sign, but cultures clash... Will their baby be deaf or hearing?

This is a paid position. Contact casting@mosaictheater.org for more information.
