Following the 8:00PM performance, “Responding in our communities to Dr. Abuelaish’s life and example,” post show discussion and talkback, featuring Amna Farooqi.


Amna Farooqi is the president of J Street U and a senior at the University of Maryland, studying Government and Politics, with a minor in Israel Studies. She has spent time studying abroad and working in Jerusalem, coordinating trips for American students around Israel and in the West Bank. Originally from Montgomery County, she became interested in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in high school and got involved with J Street U her freshman year of college. After graduating, she would like to continue working in this conflict, either in Washington D.C. or Jerusalem.
